As a part of circle time, the children talked about the date and the days of the week. They discussed special days that are coming, such as birthdays and events.The Red Class reviewed their phonics as a group using flashcards. They tried to remember the sound as well as the word associated with it.The Orange class learned words associated with cities and towns. They talked about the different places that they like to go and what they do there.The Word Time lesson focused on the words rain and water. The children learned that rain is water from the sky and talked about the weather.During the outside play time, the children used the bicycles and ride on toys to chase and play with their friends.They also practiced their gross motor kills by climbing up the tree house!As a part of circle time, the children talked about the rainy weather. They spun the weather wheel and tried to land on rainy and cloudy.The children played a memory and speed game today. They raced to be the first person to touch the card that the teacher called out.Today the Red class learned how to turn the “magic c” into the letter g. They had lots of writing practice in their workbooks.During gym class today, the children played soccer with their friends. They each got a ball to kick around the gym and make goals.The Math & Number’s lesson focused on demonstrating numbers with our fingers. The children were shown a number on a block and they practiced representing it with their hands.The Advanced Classes continued to practice “Right Here, Right Now”. They are enjoying the song and are learning the lyrics.One of today’s Kid’s Box book lessons was a review of Units 1 and 2. The children did activities to help solidify what they’ve learned so far.The children used ditty sheet to help them practice single letter sounds, with a focus on the “t” sound. They read about a wet cat to help them practice reading.One of today’s circle time topics was about food. To develop their English speaking skills, the children talked about foods that they like to eat at home.
