The Chicks class did letter and phonics practice today. They put letter cards together to make words and practice blending.During circle time, the Blue class studied adjectives such as “dirty” and “clean”. They practiced using them in a sentence to describe common objects.
The children used their writing book to practice letter sizing and placement. They also reviewed the “magic c”.The Advanced classes continued to practice and learn the lyrics for “Right Here, Right Now”.To develop their motor skills, the children did target practice in gym time. They threw balls at Shota to improve their hand eye coordination.In the reading and writing period, the Advanced Yellow class wrote about their plans for the future, which connected with the Kid’s Box lesson. They also did word puzzles and had to solve them to figure out the vocabulary words for the day.During the computer time the children practiced their spelling using fun, educational games.During the library time, the children chose books with their favorite characters. They read by themselves and in pairs.The Word Time lesson focused on the concepts “grey” and “white”. The preschool classes played “find Sqwaker” and then talked about the differences between grey clouds and white clouds.
The children continued to use ditty sheets this week to practice their reading skills. They focused on single letter phonics and blending.For craft today, the children used shapes to make rocket ships. They cut the construction paper independently and glued the pieces together.At the Takatsuki school, the children did a Kid’s Box lesson about “a day in the life”. They talked about our daily routines and played matching games to check their understanding.
