The Advanced classes reviewed routine vocabulary. They talked about the many things that we do throughout the day, such as taking a shower and eating meals.During the ESL lesson, the preschool classes reviewed general vocabulary to help them identify objects in English.The Chicks class did the “Hokey Pokey Shake” to help them learn their body parts. They really enjoyed dancing along to the song.The children in the Blue class challenged each other to a game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” to see who could remember their vocabulary words the fastest.The Orange class raced against the clock during their flashcard games. The children had to identify each card on the board before their time ran out.As a part of their ESL lesson, the classes reviewed the days of the week, and the current calendar day.To help them remember the days of the week in English, the preschool children sang the “Days of the Week” song and followed along with the actions.The children enjoyed their second day of pool play. They splashed their teachers and used pool toys to engage in water play.The “Word Time” lesson for the preschool classes was about the concepts “webbed” and “clawed”. They talked about animals with each type of feet.One of the Kid’s Box lessons reviewed the days of week, verbs and general vocabulary. They did fun activities in their workbooks to practice their reading comprehension.To review their body parts, the children looked at drawings on the board and tried to identify each body part.During the writing period, the children practiced the upper case and lower case “i”. The children practiced writing the letter and words that contain it.The Advanced Yellow class played word games such as hang man to help them with their vocabulary words for the week.For craft today, the preschool classes made a hot air balloon. They used their fine motor skills to glue on their colored squares!The Language and Literacy Lesson called “Please Pass L” had the children moving letters around the circle and identifying the letters as each one passed.Some of the children sang “You Can Count On Me” in their music lesson with Eri!
