The Yellow class talked about food during the circle time lesson. They compared things that they eat too much of versus what they don’t eat enough of.For today’s Kid’s Box Lesson, the Yellow class talked about occupations that are linked to space. They compared the differences between businessmen, astronauts and engineers and how they connect to the topic.Some of the children sang “You Can Count On Me” by Bruno Mars during their music time with Eri.For today’s craft, the preschool classes made caterpillars. They used origami paper to make rings and connected them together!One of the book lessons discussed location vocabulary. The children talked about places around the city and places that they like to visit.The children practiced writing rhyming words in their writing books. They copied the example and sounded out the words.One of today’s preschool circle time topics was about shapes. The children did well at identifying the shapes and singing the shape song!The Red class has been working hard on their reading skills. They did really well at recalling the speed sounds during the reading and writing period.The Orange class challenged each other in a memory game. They tried to be the fastest to recall the phrase on each card and get to the other side.The Language and Literacy Lesson taught the children about the prepositions “in” and “out”. They practiced jumping in and out of the hoola hoops to understand these concepts.During circle time, the preschool classes reviewed the calendar and named our new month. They sang the months of the year song to help them remember the names in English.During outside play, the children used the ride on toys and house to engage in dramatic play!The Advanced Yellow class read “King of the Birds” today to help them practice reading the “ir” sound.
