The Advanced Yellow class continued to learn about popular foods in other countries during today’s book lesson. They also talked about the foods that they like to eat at home.The Yellow classes reviewed material vocabulary in today’s ESL lesson. The children came up with lists in teams about different objects that are made out of each material.The Red class talked about places in their language lesson. They played a hiding game and tried to remember the vocabulary words that were missing.The Orange class did a spelling bee to help them remember nature themed vocabulary.To start off the circle time lesson, the preschool children sang the “Hello Song” and talked about how they are feeling today.Tag has been a very popular game with the preschool children during outside play time!To practice their knowledge of the calendar, the children sang the “Days of the Week” song as well as the “Months of the Year”.The children also really enjoyed playing on the swings!
The Math and Numbers lesson taught the children about rectangles. They used stamping pads and sponges to make rectangle prints.The students in the Yellow class played charades as a fun way to help them review and learn English vocabulary.The Red class read “the Web” as their story for the reading lesson. They read it together as a class and sounded out the difficult words.The Blue class talked about clothing vocabulary during their language lesson. They compared the types of clothing that we wear in different seasons.In the writing period, the Takatsuki Cubs learned how to change the letter “n” into an “m”. We are really seeing an improvement in their writing skills.To help them practice their reading skills, the preschool classes continued to use ditty sheets to practice sounding out words.The children really enjoyed singing Christmas themed songs in music time with Yui!
