The Advanced Yellow class continued to learn about micro-organisms in their textbook lesson. They discussed how food changes with good and bad bacteria.The Blue class talked about food and rooms in their circle time. They listened as their teacher described various household areas, and then they guessed which room he was in.The Yellow class played word games with their vocabulary list during the writing lesson.The Red class practiced sentences in their workbooks today. They wrote about animals and their body parts.The elementary school students were able to choose their journal sentences today. Some wrote about things that they enjoy doing on the weekends.The Orange class reviewed containers and the things that we put in them. They played a listening game and placed different objects in each container.The Math & Numbers lesson focused on differences. The children learned to identify the different shape in each group.The Owls class learned general vocabulary words in their circle time lesson. They practiced rock, scissors and paper using their hands.The children continued to build their soccer skills in gym class. They practiced kicking, passing and sharing the ball with their friends.The Blue class used their writing books to come up with silly sentences. They strung words together from their book and practiced their writing skills.In the Kid’s Box book lesson, the Red class learned about what we do in our “fun time”. They practiced the English terms for words such as swimming and riding a bicycle.The Advanced Yellow class read “Jane’s Party”. They reviewed all single letter phonics and practiced blending the sounds.The Sparrows enjoyed their lesson on the alphabet. They used images and alphabet flashcards to come up with vocabulary for each letter.The Advanced Yellow class came up with their own word puzzle. They used vocabulary from this morning’s book lesson to challenge their peers.As a part of the circle time lesson, the Takatsuki Cubs practiced identifying colors. They compared the colors that everyone was wearing and then sang the Music and Movement color song.The children had a lot of fun playing instruments in music class with Yui.The Takatsuki Cubs’ class practiced writing the letter “q” today. They built on what they learned about the magic “c” and made it into a new letter.
