They had to make funny sounds when they saw the current month; February.In circle time, the Owls talked about how they were feeling. They are able to express their emotions well, in English.The children played with the ride on toys today in outside play time!The Advanced Yellow class wrote about what they are looking forward to in the month of March. Some of them mentioned upcoming birthdays and trips.The Advanced Orange and Purple classes read “My Best Shirt” to practice the “ir”.The Blue class wrote about what they want to do in the month of March. Many of them talked about travelling and playing sports.The Yellow Class read “The Hole in the Hill” to practice reading the “ow/o-e/oe/o” sound.The Red class had a phonics review using phonics cards. They recalled the letter sounds and object that goes along with it.The Orange, Advanced Orange and Advanced Purple classes reviewed containers today. They talked about food items and the containers that we put them in.The elementary school students used Spelling City today to practice their spelling skills. They really enjoyed the different games on the website.The preschool classes reviewed animal in circle time. They talked about the sounds and movements that each animal makes.The Red class drew floor plans on the board to help them with today’s lesson about rooms. They discussed each room in our homes and what we do in them.The Cubs worked on lowercase “z” today. They used their fingers to help them with the letter strokes.The children used ditty sheets today to practice reading. They focused on sounds with two consonants, such as “th” and “ck”.The Advanced Yellow and Yellow ESL lessons focused on nature and the environment. They discussed ways that we can help the planet and save the animals.
