Today the children learned about transportation and we made our own airplanes!Then we took them downstairs to have some time to role play and fly their airplanes about in the summer sky.Our younger children enjoyed storytime today and learned about fireflies and other summer insects.Then they worked on spacial relations and shapes. We talked about how those shapes can be combined to make many other things.They also had some time during their creative project time to create a class mosaic using free drawing.The students had a brain building session today working with marbles and had to work as a team to build a marble run that would put their marble into the correct bin.For craft time the younger students learned about a different kind of transportation, cars!They cut, colored, and decorated their cars any way that they liked and then we talked about what kind of cars mommy and daddy drive.
