The Blue class practiced their vocabulary with a flashcard game. They had to name each card as they stepped on it, and challenge their teacher to a game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors”.The Yellow class read Jellybean today; a story about a young girl who really wanted a pet. The book focused on the phonetic sound “ee/ea/e/y”.The Red class read their story as a group to practice their oral reading skills.The Orange class learned all about technology and what we do with it. They practiced making sentences to connect the verbs with the vocabulary words.The Chicks class loves looking for Sqwaker in their Word Time lesson. They help find him before each lesson.The Word Time lesson focused on the words “triangle” and “shape”. The children sounded out the words and did a great job drawing shapes on the whiteboard.The preschool classes reviewed adjectives today in their circle time lesson. The children used their bodies to describe “hard” and “soft”. They finished off the lesson by singing “Open Shut Them”.In the writing period, the Yellow class wrote their favorite line from today’s story: “Jellybean”. They tried to memorize it, and then write it without looking.The Red class practiced writing lower case and upper case “r” in their writing books. They enjoyed coloring the rainbow after finishing the page.The Advanced classes sang “We Are the Champions” today music class with Eri. The children had a pretend snow ball fight today in gym class. They hid behind their team fort and tried to tag the other team with bean bags.The Advance Yellow class got to choose between several journal questions. They wrote about where they would go if they had a private jet, and what they enjoy doing on weekends!The Advanced Classes enjoyed listening to stories during their library time. They created stories and shared them with their friends as well!The children read stories on RazKids to help with their reading and comprehension skills.The Preschool classes made fruit baskets during their craft time. They practiced their motor skills with cutting and coloring, and talked about the many fruits they enjoy!The Sparrows reviewed the “Magic C” and how we use it to make other letters. They used their pointer finger for practice.
